Primary responsibility is to teach a progression of American Red Cross Swim Lessons consisting of Parent-Tot classes (ages 3 to 28 months), a progression of learn to swim classes for children 2½-5 years of age, and a progression of learn to swim classes for children 6 and older. The Water Safety Instructor (WSI) is expected to prevent accidents through proper use of equipment, awareness and responsibility. WS - Is can plan on working during operational hours through the academic year and summer. Employees are expected to be professional, greet all patrons in a courteous manner, and serve as an information source for aquatic related inquiries. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a lifeguard; Experience teaching, instructing, and mentoring individuals and groups in activities; Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
